The Linda Shaw Dance Centre
Established in 1977 by Linda Shaw Wilson, the Linda Shaw Dance Centre (LSDC) has been recognised as a leader in dance education in the Illawarra for over 37 years.
At the LSDC we strive to develop each student as an individual, versatile artist, with the confidence to expresses themselves creativity through dance but also to inspire in each student a life long love of dance and the arts.
Our well rounded dance curriculum is designed to provide students with the greatest opportunity to explore many styles of dance and to develop their technique, artistry and versatility. In 2014 we will be offering classes in the following styles:
• Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus – RAD)
• Contemporary (Australian Teachers of Dance Syllabus – ATOD)
• National Character,
• Tap (Australian Teachers of Dance Syllabus ATOD), and
• Musical Theatre
At the LSDC we have a history of excellence with students graduating from the centre into leading National and International Training Institutions, Companies and Productions including:
• The Australian Ballet School – Junior and Full-time programs
• Karlsruhe Ballet Company,
• SUNY Purchase New York,
• Joffrey Ballet School New York,
• The Australian Institute of Music,
• The University of New South Wales,
• Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,
• A Chorus Line,
• Universal Studios, and

Miss Linda and the LSDC staff welcome you to the new dancing year with term 1 for 2014 now underway however, it isn’t too late to enrol for term 1 classes call, email or pop into the studio to make arrangements for group or private tuition.
Save the date. The 2014 LSDC Dance Spectacular will be held at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC) on Thursday the 18th of December. Watch the news section for updates throughout the year.
